Meg's Top 20 Movies ... Ever!!

January 10, 2008 / by bamababe247

Ok I just felt the need to do this b/c frankly I can...I hope yall have some comments on my picks..Please enjoy :) (Now remember these are based on my option and my option alone)

#20: Tommy Boy : Imagine all hilarious movies we would've gotten to see if Chris Farley was still alive. Gah I miss his funnyness and I'm sure everybody else does. Tommy Boy was surely one of his funniest and one of my favs. "Fat Guy in a little coat!"

#19: Blades Of Glory : How can you go wrong with Napoleon (Jon Heder) and Ricky Bobby (Will Farrell)...Together..In the same movie about 2 male figure skaters skating together...comic gold! And any movie with the ever funny Nick Swardson HAS to be on my list.

#18: 16 Candles : Classic..Classic..Classic...Love it...Love it...Love it! Reminds me of my family..crazy but loveable.

#17: Sweet Home Alabama : Not only one of the best songs EVER..but one of the best movies EVER! Love story for us southeners and plus, Resse Witherspoon is one of my fav. actresses. "Sweet Home Alabama..Where the skies are so blue" (people that know me, know I love this movie for more than one reason..ROLL TIDE!)

#16: Pretty Woman : Total chick flick but you can't go wrong with a hooker who has a dream. If a hooker can find love with a rich man, then God knows I can! It's the 1st rated R movie I ever got to see when I was younger..so yeah I felt cool.

#15: Narnia : Not alot of movies that are based on books truly capture the story like it should, but this one surely did. I remember reading this book when I was younger and when I watched the movie when it 1st came out I remembered how amazing it was. I even shed a tear, which is rare.

#14: Napoleon Dynamite : A movie about nothing really, no plot line really just total sillyness..that's a movie for me! Plus a cool ass dance at the end..where can I sign up? I could you NOT love Napoleon? Ok there are some people out there that might say it was stupid, but that's what makes it so darn funny! Get a sense of humor people.."GAH!"

#13: The Batman Movies : (Preferably Tim Burton's ones..they were fabulously errie) Plus, Batman is the SHIT! As you can tell he's one of my fav. superheroes..reasons I think he's awesome, we wasn't born with powers or gained them, he just wants to help the helpless...kinda like Robin Hood, plus he's rich and yummy!

#12: Mean Girls : Ok Lindsey Lohnan has went downhill since this movie, but it's one of my favs and plus she plays a good bitch. This is one of the fewer movies that represents TRUE high school life and girls CAN bitchy, especially in high school.

#11: Titantic : What good can come from a great tragedy like the sinking of the Titantic? A lovely, timeless romance. Leo...Yummy! An awesome song sung by Celine Dion. And a killer (no pun intended) romantic tragedy. Another movie that brought a tear to my eye (that's 2 so far).

#10: Dumb and Dumber : What's the most annoying sound in the world? Well if you don't already know the answer then you should go home and watch CNN or something because your not awesome, like those who loooove this movie. UNNY..with a capital F!! "I like it alot!"

#9: The Star Wars Movies : Here's where my geeky side comes out. Yes, I not only watch and love these movies, but I'm convinced that the force is always with me. I even cried when Aiken went to the dark side..he was sooo hott!! (that's 3 movies that's made me cry so far)

#8: Airplane! : I love everything Leslie Nelson is in, he's just to funny and I love how he doesn't really seem to notice how funny he is, which makes him even funnier. If you're expecting an action packed drama about an ex-navial pilot who's to afraid to fly a plane and is the only hope to save these people on this plane where the pilots are dreadfully ill, then you're in for a crazy surprise. "I picked at bad week to stop sniffing glue"

#7: The Wizard Of Oz : Just follow the yellow brick road..that's all I'm gonna say about this one, plus it's a freakin classic with some catchy songs. If you've never seen this movie then you need to go play in traffic. "If I only had a brain"

#6: The Shining : "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" The only real movie that's scared the living crap out of me. After I saw the movie I descided to read the book and may I might add better and scarier than the movie. If your child ever freaks out and starts screaming REDRUM, then get away..fast!

#5: Forrest Gump : Tear-Jerker (yeah that makes 4 on this list I've cried watching). This movie should've won everything it was ever nomitated for, it's inspirational and touching (not in the bad way either). Plus, he played for Alabama...that's all I need to know to watch this movie.

#4: Rocky Horror Picture Show : If you've never heard of the Time Warp, you are not cool what so ever! I know every song in this movie by heart and the dances, yeah I'm kind of a fan. Plus Tim Curry dressed as a woman? Damnit Janet, we're not in Kansas anymore.

#3: Christmas Vacation : It's a tradition every year after me and my dad put up the Christmas decorations we sit down, relax, drink some egg-nog and watch this movie. I know it line for line and I NEVER get tired of it...NEVER!

#2: The Harry Potter Movies : Yes, I'm a fan and proud of it! I've read all the books and seen all the movies and I love Mr. Potter. J.K. Rowling is an amazing writer, who else can write books that can transform the readers into another place and time and love it? Plus, Harry's the underdog, which you always have to root for. Accio Harry! (for those keeping count, the lastest H.P. movie Order of the Phoenix is the 5th and final movie [and book] on this list I've cried watching...I swear that's it!)

                                     Drumroll Please......

#1: Spaceballs : Well pretty much anything Mel Brooks does is pure genius. I love all of his movies, but Spaceballs sticks with me maybe because of the whole making fun of Star Wars thing and since we all know I'm a Star Wars fan I take a liking to it lil bit more than the others. Mel Brooks is a hero of mine and I would one day like to make people laugh at themselves like he does. "May the Schwartz be with you!"

The only three of yours I would have on my own list would be Wizard of Oz, Star Wars (only the original), and Forrest Gump. The rest wouldn't be considered.
